Download the UO Enigma Patcher/Launcher via https://patch.uo-enigma.com/download and make sure to check out our rules.

+++ Creating Your First Character

Two accounts per IP are allowed. If you attempt to create more accounts using VPNs or other methods, any accounts associated will be permanently banned and deleted without warning.

Choose Your Skills and Template! Skills are flexible on UO Enigma — you can change, raise, or lower them as you develop your character.

* Skill Cap: 720 * Stat Cap: 225

When you create your first character, you’ll start on the Echo Isles.

+++ Echo Isles: The Beginner Area

The Echo Isles is a remote and scenic island, enclosed by mountains and surrounded by ocean waters. This area is a sanctuary, protected from thievery and criminal actions, where you can safely begin your journey and learn the essentials before venturing out into the broader world.

* Young Player Status: While on Echo Isles, you'll have “Young Player” protections, which limit certain dangers and allow you to explore with ease. You’ll lose Young Player Status if any of the following occurs:

  • Leaving Echo Isles
  • Saying “I renounce my young player status” in-game
  • Spending more than 40 hours logged into UO Enigma and having more than 450 total skill points

Even after you lose this status, you can still return to Echo Isles to use Filth, the training area, to continue honing your skills.

* The Town: The town provides essential services for new players, including vendors, training areas, and basic supplies. * The Island: With mountains, a small forest, and roaming wild animals, Echo Isles offers all you need to start building your character.

Skill Gain Cap on Echo Isles: Skills can be raised up to 70.0. Once you reach this cap, you’ll need to explore other areas to continue advancing your skills.

+++ Filth: The Beginner Dungeon

Echo Isles also hosts the Filth dungeon, which is specifically designed for new players. No criminal actions are allowed within this dungeon. With two levels, it offers a challenging yet safe way to learn and practice combat.

+++ Starting Gear for Mages

Mages will begin with a Spell Stone containing 50 charges. This stone is bound to your character and cannot be traded. If dropped, it will disappear permanently. You can only use this Spell Stone while under Young Player Status, as it consumes charges in place of reagents for spells.

Good luck, and enjoy your adventures on UO Enigma!
