A volcanic beacon-defense encounter for brave adventurers.
The Eruption is a wave-based mini-game where players defend an ancient beacon from dragonkin, fire beasts, and volcanic creatures.
Deep within a newly discovered volcanic cave, an unstable force has begun to stir.
At the center of the cavern stands the Eruption Beacon. When activated, it draws the attention of nearby dragonkin and fire-born creatures. Waves of enemies will begin moving toward the beacon from multiple directions.
Your job is simple:
Defend the beacon.
If too many enemies reach it, the Eruption is lost.
The Eruption is designed as a group-friendly PvM encounter with escalating waves, event creatures, and Eruption Point rewards.
To begin The Eruption:
The beacon can only be activated when defenders are nearby.
Once started, the encounter begins immediately.
The Eruption has a cooldown after it ends.
| Cooldown | Duration |
|---|---|
| Eruption Beacon | 60 minutes |
This cooldown applies after the event succeeds or fails.
If the beacon is still cooling down, it will tell you how long remains before it can be activated again.
The objective is to keep the beacon alive through all waves.
Enemies spawn from two directions and move toward the beacon.
The event succeeds if:
The event fails if:
The beacon begins with full integrity.
| Beacon Integrity | Value |
|---|---|
| Maximum Integrity | 100 |
When an enemy reaches the beacon, it damages the beacon and disappears.
Stronger enemies deal more damage than weaker enemies.
Do not ignore creatures that slip past the group.
Even if the first waves go well, later waves can still break through and destroy the beacon.
The Eruption contains 4 waves.
Each wave becomes more dangerous than the last.
| Wave | Theme |
|---|---|
| Wave 1 | Fire lizards, salamanders, and young drakes |
| Wave 2 | Magma creatures, salamanders, drakes, and wyverns |
| Wave 3 | Stronger drakes, wyverns, fire drakes, and obsidian drakes |
| Wave 4 | Dragons, fire drakes, and ancient dragonkin |
Each wave arrives in multiple surges instead of all at once.
This means a wave may appear calm at first, then suddenly grow more dangerous as reinforcements arrive.
The creatures inside The Eruption are event-specific versions of familiar volcanic and dragonkin enemies.
These creatures are stronger than normal versions and scale by wave level.
Eruption creatures may include:
Later waves have higher health, stronger stats, and more dangerous enemies.
Players earn Eruption Points by participating in the encounter.
Eruption Points can be earned from:
The stronger the creature, the more valuable it is.
Players who help defeat the encounter may also receive a completion bonus.
You must participate to receive rewards. Standing nearby without helping does not count.
If the beacon survives all waves, participating players receive a bonus reward.
| Result | Reward |
|---|---|
| Successful defense | Bonus Eruption Points |
To qualify, you must help during the encounter.
The Eruption fails if the beacon is destroyed.
When this happens:
The final wave can still cause a failure, even if earlier waves were handled well.
Find the Eruption Beacon inside the Eruption cave and double-click it.
Very strong players may be able to handle parts of it, but the event is designed to be dangerous and group-friendly.
They damage the beacon and disappear.
The Eruption fails and enters cooldown.
No. You need to participate in the encounter to receive rewards.
