Bait Types & Bonuses

The expansion defines 7 bait categories:

• Red Scale
• Blue Scale
• Deepwater
• Shallow Water
• Coral
• Stoneskin
• Exotic

Bait items are generally single-use.

Bait increases your chance to catch fish from its category instead of the normal catch table. The bait success chance is influenced by:

• Your Fishing skill
• Your pole's BaitEfficiency attribute (if present)

Bait becomes especially important when combined with Affinity Fishing:

1. If your pole has a GroupAffinity set, and your bait matches that group, you gain a large bonus toward:
   • catching that group's fish
   • rolling into rare group fish (at higher skill)

Bait can appear in multiple reward flows (examples):

• SOS “pre-loot” while working toward the chest attempt cap
• Treasure containers / sea rewards (tier-dependent)
• Some systems may also offer vendor/crafting access (if enabled in your shard ruleset)

If a vendor or league reward path exists, document it on the vendor/league pages (if present in your codebase).
