SOS System

SOS bottles lead to shipwreck treasure. While fishing near the SOS location, you accumulate attempts until the chest spawns.

SOS has 6 tiers:

• Common
• Uncommon
• Rare
• Ancient
• Legendary
• Cursed

Each tier scales:

• guardian difficulty and composition
• chest class (loot scaling depends on your shard’s chest definitions)

SOS treasure requires deep water validation. If you are too close to shore or in shallow water, your SOS progress will not work correctly.

When fishing within range of the SOS location:

• Each attempt increments the SOS counter.
• The cap is random for attempts.
• When you hit the cap, the chest spawns and the SOS completes.

Before the cap:

• You can receive “pre-loot” (salvage / bait / hooks / nets depending on tier and configuration).

When complete:

• The system spawns a chest associated with the SOS tier.
• The chest is created as an unlocked, movable, shipwrecked container.
• Guardian waves spawn to protect it.

Guardians are tracked and can be removed after a long timer window if not completed.
