Monthly Challenges — Player Guide

The Monthly Challenge is a season-style progression track that runs for the current calendar month.

By playing normally, you earn Monthly XP, unlock up to 12 rewards, and claim them on any of your characters. On the 1st of the next month, the track resets and a new set of rewards becomes available.

Either option opens the Monthly Challenge window.

• Play normally to earn Monthly XP
• XP unlocks rewards at fixed milestones (gates)
• Rewards unlock in order
• There are 12 gates total
• The final gate unlocks at 120,000 XP
• 120,000 XP is also the monthly XP cap
• On the first day of the next month, the track resets with new rewards

Monthly XP is earned through normal gameplay activities.

• Normal monster kills grant XP based on fame

• Paragons grant bonus XP
• Rift Bosses grant large XP chunks
• Peerless Bosses grant large XP chunks

• Treasure Maps
  • XP scales with map level
• SOS Chests
  • Normal SOS ≈ 25 XP
  • Ancient SOS ≈ 350 XP

• Small XP gain per gather
• Daily cap: ≈ 2,000 XP per account
• A small per-account rate limit exists to prevent spam
  • (If you play normally, you won’t notice it.)*

• Small XP gain per craft
• Daily cap: ≈ 1,500 XP per account

• The Monthly Challenge track contains 12 gates
• Gates unlock in order as your total Monthly XP increases
• The final gate unlocks at 120,000 XP
• Rewards are once per track
  • One claim per reward
  • Per account
  • Per month

• Open the Monthly Challenge window
• Rewards marked Unlocked are ready to claim
• Click an unlocked reward to claim it
• Use Collect Rewards to claim all unlocked rewards at once
• Ensure you have enough backpack space
  • If a claim fails due to space, free space and try again

• Monthly Challenge progress is account-wide
• Any character may earn Monthly XP
• Any one character may claim each reward
  • The reward is delivered to the character that claims it

If the system ever changes to per-character, this will be clearly stated in-game and on the UI. Otherwise, assume the system is account-wide.

If you are online during the reset, the new track applies the next time you:

• Open the Monthly Challenge window, or
• Earn Monthly XP

If you prefer not to see the small “+XP” notifications:

• Use the toggle button in the Monthly Challenge window to turn XP pop-ups ON or OFF
• If a dedicated in-game command is added, it will be announced

• Play your way — hunting, bossing, mapping, fishing, gathering, and crafting all contribute
• Only harvesting and crafting have daily caps
• Reach 120,000 XP, claim your rewards, and relax until next month
• Watch for monthly cosmetics, dyes, transmogs, titles, and utility rewards
• Don’t burn yourself out — this system is meant to be a bonus, not a chore
