The Treasure Hunter's Codex is a blessed, character-bound book used by treasure hunters to track progress across treasure maps, guardians, relic fragments, and special relic map encounters.
As you decode treasure maps, complete treasure maps, defeat guardians, and collect relic fragments, your Codex gains experience and ranks up.
The Codex tracks:
Players can receive a Treasure Hunter's Codex from the Treasure Codex Keeper.
Each character may receive one Treasure Hunter's Codex.
The Codex is character-bound once received and cannot be traded to another player.

All Codex activities feed into one shared experience pool. When a rank is earned, the Codex experience resets back to zero and begins progressing toward the next rank.

When your Codex ranks up, a reward is added to the Treasury tab for you to claim.

Each guardian defeated adds progress to your Codex and grants Codex XP.
Guardian kills are credited through treasure hunting and relic encounters. Pets and summons may also contribute when properly credited to their owner.
The Reliquary tracks relic fragments.
Relic fragments are special items connected to treasure hunting and relic encounters.

To add a fragment to your Codex:
If you do not have your Codex in your backpack, the fragment will not be consumed.
Once enough fragments have been collected, the Reliquary allows you to create special relic maps.

When you meet the requirements, a Create Map option appears in the Reliquary.
The Create Map button only appears when the required fragments and cooldown are ready.
Relic maps begin special instanced relic hunts.
These encounters are more dangerous than normal treasure maps and should not be started lightly.
Relic hunts are timed encounters.
Only activate a relic map when you and your party are prepared.

The relic map acts as the key while the encounter is active.
When the relic boss is defeated:
Relic chests remain for the full loot window, even if emptied.
Relic chests are reward containers. They are not meant to be used as storage.
The Treasury is where Codex rewards are claimed.
Rewards are added automatically when your Codex ranks up.
