Mastercrafted Cooking
The Mastercrafted Cooking system gives experienced chefs a rare chance to create exceptional meals with powerful temporary PvM bonuses.
While crafting eligible finished foods, highly skilled cooks may occasionally create a Mastercrafted version of the meal.
Each Mastercrafted food contains one special effect that can be activated when eaten, allowing adventurers to prepare different combinations of bonuses before entering dangerous PvM content.
Mastercrafted Cooking is designed for PvM.
Players can have up to 3 different Mastercrafted food effects active at the same time.
Creating Mastercrafted Food
Mastercrafted food can only be created through normal Cooking.
Requirements
- At least 110.0 Base Cooking
- The crafted item must be an eligible finished food
- The food must be non-stackable
- The crafted amount must be 1
Eligible foods have a small chance to become Mastercrafted when successfully crafted.
Stackable food can never become Mastercrafted.
Ingredients, unfinished foods, and other stackable Cooking items are excluded from the system.
Identifying Mastercrafted Food
Mastercrafted meals are clearly identified by their item quality.
A Mastercrafted food also displays the special effect stored within it.
Mastercrafted Mastercrafted (Effect Name)
The effect is determined when the food is crafted.
Eating Mastercrafted Food
Mastercrafted food does not require the player to be hungry.
Eating the food activates its stored effect.
Mastercrafted Food Rules
- A maximum of 3 different effects can be active
- Eating the same effect again refreshes its duration
- Eating a fourth different effect replaces the effect closest to expiring
- Most effects last 15 minutes
- Active effects are displayed on the player's buff bar
- The food is only consumed after the effect successfully activates

Defensive Effects
Damage Soak
Damage Soak reduces qualifying incoming damage by a flat amount.
Different versions of Damage Soak may provide different strengths and durations.
Spell Soak
Provides a 15% chance to completely absorb a qualifying incoming PvM spell damage event.
When Spell Soak activates, the player takes no damage from that spell hit.
Stoneskin
Reduces the Physical portion of qualifying incoming PvM weapon damage by 20%.
Stoneskin only affects Physical damage.
Fire, Cold, Poison, Energy, and other damage portions are unaffected.
Ward
Provides +50 Defense Chance contribution against qualifying PvM creatures.
Normal combat caps still apply.
Ward increases the chance of avoiding an attack rather than reducing the damage after being hit.
Spell Reflect
Provides a 10% chance to reflect a qualifying incoming PvM spell damage event.
When Spell Reflect activates:
- The player takes no damage from that spell hit
- The damage is reflected back to the creature that cast the spell
- The Mastercrafted effect remains active
Affliction Resistance
Reduces incoming Poison-element damage from qualifying PvM attacks by 20%.
Affliction Resistance reduces Poison damage.
It does not provide immunity to Poisoning, Bleed, Mortal Strike, or other status effects.
Evasion
Provides a 20% chance to completely avoid a qualifying incoming PvM weapon hit.
When Evasion activates, the attack is treated as a miss before its normal damage and hit effects are applied.
Offensive Effects
Spell Damage Boost
Increases qualifying spell damage dealt to PvM enemies by 10%.
The bonus remains active for the full duration of the food effect.
Physical Damage Boost
Increases the Physical portion of qualifying weapon damage dealt to PvM enemies by 10%.
Only Physical damage is increased.
Fire, Cold, Poison, Energy, and other damage portions remain unchanged.
Hit Chance Boost
Provides +50 Hit Chance contribution when attacking qualifying PvM creatures.
Normal Hit Chance caps still apply.
Next Spell Boost
Next Spell Boost works differently from the other Mastercrafted effects.
After eating the food, the player has up to 200 seconds to cast a qualifying damaging PvM spell.
The next qualifying spell receives +20% damage.
The effect is consumed when the qualifying spell is used.
For spells that strike multiple enemies, the bonus remains attached to that spell cast and can affect each qualifying target struck by it.
Next Spell Boost can be combined with Spell Damage Boost for additional spell damage.
Utility Effects
Luck
Provides +50 Luck for 30 minutes.
The bonus is added to the player's normal Luck while the food effect remains active.
Stamina Conservation
Reduces stamina lost through normal weapon Hit Fatigue by 50% when fighting qualifying PvM enemies.
Other sources of stamina loss are unaffected.
Mana Focus
Mana Focus provides:
- +10 Mana Regeneration
- -5 Stamina Regeneration
This allows players to trade some stamina recovery for significantly stronger mana recovery.
Mana Focus is disabled while the player is involved in player combat.
Magic Resist
Provides +5 effective Magic Resist against qualifying PvM spell calculations.
Magic Resist also reduces the duration of standard PvM stat curses by approximately 10%.
This includes:
- Clumsy
- Feeblemind
- Weaken
- Curse
- Mass Curse
Healing Boost
Healing Boost provides:
- +10 effective Healing
- 10% faster Healing bandage time
Healing Boost affects normal Healing bandages.
It does not increase Veterinary.
Healing Boost is disabled while the player is involved in player combat.
PvP Restrictions
Mastercrafted Cooking bonuses are designed for PvM.
They are not intended to provide an advantage during player combat.
If a player initiates harmful action against another player, their active Mastercrafted food effects are removed.
This also applies when PvP aggression is initiated through controlled pets or summons.
Being attacked by another player does not remove your Mastercrafted food effects.
The effects are removed from the player who initiates the PvP aggression.
Player-owned pets and summons are not considered normal PvM creatures for Mastercrafted Cooking bonuses.
Death
All active Mastercrafted food effects are removed when the player dies.
This includes:
- Active bonuses
- Buff icons
- Effect timers
After resurrection, new Mastercrafted food can be eaten normally.
Logging Out & Server Restarts
Mastercrafted food effects persist through:
- Logout
- World saves
- Server restarts
Their duration continues to count down while the player is offline.
Logging out does not pause Mastercrafted food effects.
If an effect expires while the player is offline, it will not return when the player logs back in.
Choosing Your Meal
Because only 3 different Mastercrafted effects can be active at once, choosing the right combination can make a significant difference.
A warrior may prefer offensive and defensive effects.
A mage may focus on Mana, Spell Damage, and Magic Resist.
A treasure hunter may choose Luck while preparing additional defensive bonuses for a difficult encounter.
There is no single perfect combination.
The best meal depends on where you are going and what you expect to fight.
Becoming a Master Chef
Mastercrafted Cooking gives experienced chefs another reason to create finished meals and gives adventurers a new way to prepare for difficult PvM content.
With only a small chance for each eligible meal to become Mastercrafted, producing the exact effects you want may take time.
Choose your three effects carefully, prepare for the encounter ahead, and never underestimate the value of a good meal.
