Codex Tabs

The Codex is divided into four main sections:

  • The Atlas
  • The Bestiary
  • The Reliquary
  • The Treasury

Each tab tracks a different part of your treasure-hunting journey.

The Atlas

The Atlas tracks how many treasure maps you have completed by map level.

Map Level What It Tracks
Level 1 Completed Level 1 treasure maps
Level 2 Completed Level 2 treasure maps
Level 3 Completed Level 3 treasure maps
Level 4 Completed Level 4 treasure maps
Level 5 Completed Level 5 treasure maps
Level 6 Completed Level 6 treasure maps
Level 7 Completed Level 7 treasure maps

The Atlas is a long-term treasure hunter record and helps you follow your journey through every level of treasure map content.

The Bestiary

The Bestiary records guardian kills connected to treasure hunting and relic hunts.

It tracks several types of guardian encounters, including:

  • Treasure guardians
  • Boss guardians
  • Relic guardians
  • Relic bosses
  • Ancient guardians

Each guardian defeated adds progress to your Codex and grants Codex XP.

Guardian kills are credited through treasure hunting and relic encounters. Pets and summons may also contribute when properly credited to their owner.

The Reliquary

The Reliquary tracks relic fragments.

Relic fragments are special items connected to treasure hunting and relic encounters.

Fragment Type Use
Lesser Relic Fragment Used toward Lesser Relic Maps
Relic Fragment Used toward Relic Maps
Ancient Relic Fragment Used toward Ancient Relic Maps

To add a fragment to your Codex:

  • Keep your Codex in your backpack
  • Double-click the relic fragment
  • The fragment is absorbed into the Codex
  • The fragment count increases in the Reliquary

If you do not have your Codex in your backpack, the fragment will not be consumed.

Creating Relic Maps

Once enough fragments have been collected, the Reliquary allows you to create special relic maps.

Relic Map Fragment Requirement Cooldown
Lesser Relic Map 20 Lesser Relic Fragments 24 hours
Relic Map 15 Relic Fragments 48 hours
Ancient Relic Map 20 Ancient Relic Fragments 72 hours

When you meet the requirements, a Create Map option appears in the Reliquary.

The Create Map button only appears when the required fragments and cooldown are ready.

Relic Hunts

Relic maps begin special instanced relic hunts.

These encounters are more dangerous than normal treasure maps and should not be started lightly.

Relic hunts are timed encounters.

Only activate a relic map when you and your party are prepared.

A relic hunt contains:

  • Multiple waves of relic guardians
  • A final boss encounter
  • A relic chest reward
  • A limited cleanup timer after victory

Relic hunts can take place in one of several secluded relic sites.

Known relic sites include:

  • Firelight Cave
  • Corrupt Tomb
  • Shattered Castle

Relic Map Attempts

Each relic map has 2 attempts.

Action Result
Starting a relic hunt Consumes 1 attempt
Re-entering from outside during the active fight Consumes the remaining attempt
Clicking while already inside Does not consume an attempt
Winning the relic hunt Deletes the map
Failing with no attempts left Deletes the map

The relic map acts as the key while the encounter is active.

Relic Hunt Victory

When the relic boss is defeated:

  • A relic chest appears
  • The relic map is consumed
  • The party has a limited time to loot
  • The relic site cleans itself afterward

Relic chests remain for the full loot window, even if emptied.

Relic chests are reward containers. They are not meant to be used as storage.

  • The chest itself cannot be moved
  • Rewards inside may be looted
  • Players cannot place items into the relic chest
  • The site clears after the loot window ends

The Treasury

The Treasury is where Codex rewards are claimed.

Rewards are added automatically when your Codex ranks up.

Codex Rank Reward Status
Rank 1 Treasury reward unlocked
Rank 2 Treasury reward unlocked
Rank 3 Treasury reward unlocked
Rank 4 Treasury reward unlocked
Rank 5 Treasury reward unlocked

Treasury rewards wait until claimed. They do not expire.

Make sure you have backpack space before claiming rewards.
