Key Ship Concepts

Ship Hold

Most ship resources are stored in the Ship Hold. Cannons will pull required firing resources from:

  1. fixture containers (if present)
  2. the Ship Hold (primary)
  3. the cannon itself (fallback)

Cannon Hardpoints

Ships have defined cannon locations. You can only place cannons at valid positions for that ship.

Security / Roles

Ships enforce access by security level. Common player-facing roles include:

Ship Naming (Tiller Man)

Ships display their name through the tillerman label. Owners can rename the ship through the tillerman context menu (rules: must be authorized and on/near ship).

Deeds, Placing, Docking

Ships are placed via deeds and can be docked back into deed form depending on type. Placement requirements (water depth, regions, block rules) follow your shard’s boat placement rules.
